How to Define a Price Point for a Plan

After creating plans, you can start adding multiple price points for each plan. This allows your customers to choose a relevant price point based on their needs. In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to define a price point for a plan.

Steps to Define a Price Point

  1. Navigate to the Desired Plan:

Go to the desired plan. The Pricing section will display all the billing frequencies that you have added for your site for every currency configured.

  2. Select Billing Frequency:

Go to the billing frequency for the currency that you want to add for this plan, and click Set Price.

  3. Modify Basic Attributes:

In the Create a Price Point page, you can modify the basic attributes of the plan's price point if required.

  4. Define Trial Period:
    • Select if the plan has a trial period.
    • Enter the number of days or months that the plan is offered on trial.
    • You can define the trial period for specific billing frequencies as required. For example, define a one-week trial period for this plan when subscribed for a month, but not when subscribed for a week.
  5. Select Pricing Model:

Choose your preferred pricing model. Chargebee offers five different kinds of pricing models for you to choose from.

  6. Add Description:

Add a description to the price point, which gets displayed on all customer-facing resources such as Invoices, Quotes, Checkout, and Self-Serve Portal.

    • Enable the Show Description in Invoices and Show Description in Quotes options if you want the Invoices and Quotes to display the plan description in the respective line item.
  7. Create Price Point:

Enter the required details and click the Create button in the top-right corner of the modal.

You have now successfully defined a price point for this plan. Similarly, set the price for other currencies and billing frequencies in which you are selling the plan, and you're good to go.
